Description: Original WW2 Pick Mattock Set - Dated 1944 Condition: Great, with the pick head free from dents and bending, but there is rust present. The pick cover is in excellent condition with a small area were the fabric was not stitched inside the binding (see photos), all of the hardware is complete/working, and a little fading of the OD green colors. The pick handle is free from cracks, but does have a few chips and loss of paint. This pick is the M1910 pick mattock tool, used in WW2 by the U.S. Army to dig and fortify foxholes. This particular pick is marked U.S. Diamond Calk 1944, the handle is faintly marked U.S., and the cover is marked American Canvas Mfg. Co. 1945. These original WW2 pick mattock sets with the original, marked handles are getting harder to find, so don't miss out on this one!!
