Description: Absolutely gorgeous 70s or 80s 1940s style rayon dress, approximately a size 8-10 (measurements listed below). Beautiful rich purple background with mauve colored leaves and a leaf dot design. The rayon fabric feels so high quality. IT HAS POCKETS! The dress is a slip over or step in dress with a couple of buttons and two snaps at the waist and at the bust where it crosses over. It has a self tie belt that ties near the side. It has a faux wrap look. Falls just below knee on my 5’ 5” frame. It has short sleeves that hit above the elbow, with a sweet little bit of a puff at the shoulder. There are no shoulder pads. The bodice of the dress is meant to be blousy and not fitted. I LOVE this dress! I purchased this dress for myself, but sadly it’s just a tiny bit too big, I hover between a 6 and an 8, 34c bust, 30” waist. My dress form has a short torso so the dress doesn’t quite fit it well, either. Dress form is about a size 8. I think this would fit a busty, curvy women’s size 8 or 10. It is in excellent vintage condition. The snaps are a bit loose. Otherwise I can find no flaws other than some yellowing of the brand and care labels. No funky or overwhelming odors. Please examine photos carefully as they are part of the description. Measurements: Measurements are taken while garment is lying flat and then doubled where appropriate Bust: Up to 38” around (meant to fit loosely, like a blouse) Waist: 26” unstretched, ~30” stretched Shoulder: 14” seam to seam, 17” from shoulder end to shoulder end Bodice length: 15.5” from top of shoulder to top of waistband (again top is meant to be blousy and the waist is meant to sit at your natural waist) Skirt length: 28” from top of waistband, waistband is 2” wide Hip is free, dress form has a 42” hip measurement Please see photos for details and feel free to message me with questions.
