Vintage 14K Gold & Unknown Deep Brown Pierced Earrings 14 Karat Gold 4.2 grams

Description: Description: 14K Gold & Unknown Stone Pierced Earrings! These earrings were found in a lot of Southwestern Jewelry that we purchased at a high end estate sale but alas they are unsigned and we do not know what the center stone is - we thought at purchase in bag that they were onyx or obsidian but when held to bright light appear very dark brown and they feel more resin or plastic looking and there is a hole in the reverse of each piece that makes us think that is where the original post was or perhaps they were cufflinks and remade into earrings for pierced ears? The earrings are marked 14K and test as such and also have 14K earring backings - they measure approximately just slightly longer than 3/4" top to bottom by about 5/8" wide - the earrings weigh 4.2 grams or 0.135 troy ounces on our own small home jewelry scale.
