Description: This is a 1/2 inch replacement nylon typewriter ribbon for most vintage manual typewriters. It is sealed in a plastic sleeve and comes in a cardboard box. You can also choose to include a correction tape applicator with each purchase. These applicators allow you to apply correction tape, commonly called White Out, over errors and type over them again. **RIBBON FEATURES**This typewriter ribbon comes in black or black and red ink on 2" plastic spools. The ribbon has two automatic reversing grommets that allow the ribbon to reverse direction once it reaches the end in machines with this feature. (Not all typewriters have this ability, but most do.) **SUITABLE MODELS**This replacement typewriter ribbon is suitable for almost all Smith-Coronas, Brother, Olympia, Remington, Underwood, Olympia, Royal, and other vintage typewriters that use a 1/2" ribbon. If you're not sure whether your machine can use this ribbon, please contact me. **WINDING RIBBON ONTO PRE-EXISTING SPOOLS**Even if you have a typewriter that will not accept these spools, the ribbon itself can be used in any machine that accepts 1/2" ribbon. If the spools do not fit you can use appropriately sized spools (the ones already on you machine) and wind the ribbon onto those. This is not a complicated process, but can be confusing, so please contact me if you need help with it.
