This postal block includes two stamps that symbolize the achievements of Ukrainian athletes. The first stamp is dedicated to figure skater Oksana Bayul, who won a gold medal and became Ukraine's first Olympic champion. The second stamp pays tribute to biathlete Valentyna Tserbe, who won a bronze medal, becoming the first Ukrainian athlete to win a bronze medal at the Winter Olympics. This postal block is an important part of Ukraine's philatelic heritage and a reminder of the first major achievements of Ukrainian sports on the international stage.
