Description: Highlights Handpicked By: R. Gallo Vintage from the 1950s Materials: Ceramic These six colorful Mayer China "Tropic-Pattern", 4.8" diameter coupe-shape rolled-edge butter pats, have seen very little use. Produced on an ivory body, they're in excellent condition with no dings, chips, heavy scratches or dishwasher damage. The glaze is smooth, shiny and slippery all-over, even on the outer rims. The centers show a few "signs of life" from utensils and stacking commensurate with light use before a very long "retirement." Oldies but certainly Goodies! We consider "Tropic" to be one of the most attractive patterns in vintage restaurant ware. It's great mixed-and-matched with solid-colored pastel wares that were popular in its time period. If you collect restaurant ware, you know how difficult it is to locate patterned butter pats in sets. We consider this sextet in excellent condition & is a choice find. These pats will be padded & snugly wrapped in layers of bubble wrap, then packed in a roomy, peanut-filled carton & boldly marked Fragile for safer shipping. It'll be shipped the day of purchase if time allows, if not, always no later than the next business day. Very lovely set of collectable pats...a welcome addition to any savvy collector's pride & joy collection! Buy with confidence & thanks for stopping by.
