Description: Antique book titled TREASURE ISLAND Edited With Biographical Sketch And Notes by Robert Louis Stevenson. The Scribner's English Texts. Charles Scribner's Sons. Hardcover with no dust jacket. Copyright 1910. Scribner's mark near bottom of copyright page with the letter "J" centered under "Printed in the United States of America" above. Green cloth cover with lettering and design on cover and lettered spine. Light shelf and handling wear to cover and soiling over the title that partially obscures the letters "O" and "N". Black and white illustration of author on frontispiece facing title page. Small bottom edge tears on a few of the pages and on page 139 there is one larger tear where a piece of the page is torn off. This piece is pressed against the next page and can be gently peeled and repaired. It does not damage the print behind it. I do not want to separate it at this time to prevent it from getting lost. The last picture shows the bottom edges of the pages in the book. A few of these are uneven and it is on these pages that the bottoms may have small edge tears. The pages are clean and tight. Cracked hinge near end of book at pages 344 and 345 as seen in the pictures. 345 pages. Book measures 4 1/2" x 6 1/2". A great addition to a collection.
