SUPER RARE! 1964 Topps Stand Up Baseball SEALED 1 Cent Wax Pack GA 9 Only 1!

Description: Hi! PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY AND IN ITS ENTIRETY! (I get paid by the word. Don't I wish.) In 1985, I purchased from someone I worked with a complete 77 card set of the 1964 Topps Stand Up set. The guy I bought it from grew up in the Pittsburgh area, which was the only area in the country Topps distributed this test issue. IT IS ONE OF THE RAREST BASEBALL SETS TOPPS HAS EVER PRODUCED. It is also one of the most ingeniously designed sets Topps ever made. The person I bought it from didn't even know it was a complete set. I gave him full Beckett book value when I bought it. Several years later--I think it was 1993--I was at a big baseball card show that the late famed card dealer Alan ("Mr. Mint") Rosen had a couple of tables selling his stuff. I walked over to his table and showed him the set in the same album I had purchased it eight years before. He looked it over, reached into his suit pants pocket and counted out 12 one hundred dollar bills. I was kind of embarrassed and said, "Mr, Rosen, I am not trying to sell it. I just wanted your opinion of the set." He looked at the set again, asked me about the tiny dot on the Carl Yastrzemski card--one of the key cards in the set--and I told him it looked like a print mark. He then reached back into his pocket and added three more hundred dollar bills to his original 12 and said, "This is the best I can do." I stood there for a full minute and, reluctantly, agreed to sell him the set. A friend of mine at the show--after I told him what happened--said, "Congratulations, you've just been minted." When I got home, I told my wife--after I handed her the $1,500--and she said, "Gee, I kind of liked that set." That is the ONLY time she has ever said that about anything I have ever owned the past 43 years. I do not care to guess what that set--it was in near mint to mint condition--would sell for now since all the cards were highly gradable. I immediately regretted selling the set to Mr. Mint and over the past 31 years I have purchased a number of Willie Mays singles from the set. I now own more than 20 of the Mays card from the 1964 Stand Up set. I will be selling my best one a BCCG 8 card in the next few days. There is only one other item I am selling from this great, super rare set--THIS FACTORY SEALED WAX PACK! It took me about eight years to find a reasonably priced pack! On several occasions in the past six years I have been tempted to open it, but have resisted the temptation. Now, it is your turn to be tempted. I have rarely seen a sealed pack on eBay, and I have seen this recently priced about $7,000. My price is $1,250. A great deal, But only if you want it. Remember, this pack is 60 years old. And it comes from one of the rarest baseball products Topps ever made. AND IT IS GRADED 9 BY GA, the highest grade I have ever seen for an unopened pack of Topps 1964 Stand Ups. Of course, if you open it, you might find a Mays, Mantle, Aaron or one of many other stars. ONE CARD PER PACK. Hey, the packs cost a penny! In addition to the short printed card of Yastrzemski, there are 21 other short prints in the set, including Hall of Famers Ron Santo, Juan Marichal, Don Drysdale, Willie McCovey and Billy Williams. Please be aware that Topps quality control in 1964 was no better than it was in 1984, so one frequently encountered chipping and other less than mint defects to some of the cards. But if you are looking for a truly rare unopened baseball pack WITH A HIGH GRADE that you don't need a second mortgage for, this would be a good choice. This is a Buy It Now listing.
