Description: Shipping RARE VINTAGE VW Porsche BLAUPUNKT DERBY PORTABLE RADIO & Mount TESTED Works! Offered for sale is this estate sale find of this RARE Vintage 1950/60s BLAUPUNKT DERBY PORTABLE UNDER DASH RADIO and mount. This was a rare option radio for early 1960s European cars such as Porsche and VWs and Mercedes. This is in great working vintage condition. The radio has been tested with the D Cell batteries and it works great! The radio light comes on when changing bands and it has great clear radio volume. I have not tested with it installed in mount using the cars 6-volt system as I am not sure how to safely do it ! The radios battery compartment is in excellent corrosion free condition. There is no key provided for the car mount, but one can be sourced. I will prove instructions on how to remove from mount with no key to the new owner .Please email with your questions as I am no expert! PLEASE review enlarged photographs for item condition !
