💥RARE VINTAGE Gilbey's Gin, Rum, Vodka Canvas Bank Coin Bag! Advertising

Description: Hello there I will try to explain this bag the best that I can I can tell you this it was found in a purchase storage unit that had been abandoned at an auction in the bottom of a trunk I had heard of Gilbey's liquor before but wasn't well versed in advertising pieces of the company with that being said I knew it was old because I didn't think that this style of a bag was even used by businesses anymore as you can see the bag is original and has the gilbey's logo on it for their rum gin and vodka on the one side with the three diamond shapes on the other side it reads" Bank on Gilbey's". The bag appears to be made of canvas though I am not 100% sure but that's what I believe it to be made out of judging by the feel of the texture and the pattern it could be cotton though I am not 100% sure as you can see it has the one cent printed on a white colored canvas OR cotton it also has 5 cent denomination 10 cent denomination and lastly 25 cent denomination so what I was told was for starters that this is super rare and I definitely agreed with that analysis because I cannot literally have spent hours trying to find another one I have scoured the internet relentlessly I have typed in every word possible to try to find another example and I have exhausted my search I was told that this was more than likely from the 50s to '60s once again I cannot confirm 100% this is what an appraiser told me that this was more than likely an advertising promotional piece given to a bar that sold Gilbey's liquor products, and that it was simply used as a nightly deposit or bank deposit bag which makes sense it is stitched all the way around the bag with a appears to be possibly a vinyl that goes all the way around it also has the button to close the bag which both the button still secures and is intact I know there is numerous collectors out there for both vintage and antique bank deposit bags and for Gilbey's advertising items I knew that I had something quite rare when I took it into the antique shop and before the appraisal they already had tried to purchase which was kind of a turn off because I'm assuming they were going to try to screw me over so I had no intentions of selling it to them I have tried to take many pictures in my opinion if it is from the 50s 60s or late 60s it appears that it has been hardly used if it even has been used it has been handled obviously you can see the red stain in the lower right hand corner but all the stitching appears to be intact and I believe that all the advertising artwork still is clean and able to be red on both sides as well as the different denominations of coin that is stamped on the white portion of the material the bag itself open measures approximately 10 and 3/4 inches from the top to the base the width of the bag is approximately 7 and 1/2 in wide and when the bag is closed it measures approximately from the top to the bottom 9 in when the button is snapped. Once again I cannot emphasize enough how I could not find another example so with that being said I'm going to have to say that this has to be rare I've tried Google lens once again I've tried every different wording possible to find this bag and simply cannot find another example though the bag is not 100% mint I am not a greater of old Bank bags or old advertising coin bags but from what I can see it looks to be in very good used condition but you be the judge once again I have taken many photos sorry I do not have any other information on this bag I cannot tell you it's a original origin I don't know if it came from the states I don't know if it came from overseas thank you for looking and hopefully you will be able to add this very rare bag to your collection.
