There look to be unit numbers stamped on the cap and is also named on the bottom "Don Pearson," indicating it was issued and used. The canteen is pre-WW1 lathe spun aluminum, lacking a seam like the later mass produced canteens. These WW1 spun aluminum canteens are fairly difficult to find, so don't miss out on this one!!
