Description: Up for sale is a CDV/ Carte de Viste of Abraham Lincoln and his son reading. It is an iconic image. The original photograph was taken by Anthony Berger on February 9, 1864 in Matthew Brady's studio in Washington D. C. It was widely reprinted at the time with numerous variations on the basic portrait. This printing shows a gathered curtain behind the President and wallpaper behind his son. It's a scarce variation, a good thing for any collector of Lincoln CDVs. The actual image has been glued onto an old piece of card. Please view all posted photos. Size is approximately 3 5/8 by 2 3/8 inches. Sepia tones. Unframed as shown. Feel free to ask any questions you may have; I'd be happy to answer.
