Description: This is very old light weight 90" by 70" hand stitched family heirloom quilt. The design has 30 stars( 6 up and 5 across). The reverse side is solid white. It was stored in my parent's linen closet since the 1970s. The last time it was probably washed was in the 1960s before my mother received it from her aunts. When I received it recently It was noticeably darker(tan light brown) in some of the white areas; so washed it in cold water and dried it on the clothes line, It improved some but it still isn't the same as the rest of the white in the quilt. I didn't want to ruin the red or set it in the darker shade permanently by doing anything more.Besides the darkening in the white there is no damage to the fabric or worn areas.
