Description: (Indeterminate/60-70 days) Mexico Midget is a rare heirloom tomato that came from Chico California gardener Barney Laman. Laman's brother collected the seeds while working as a trucker in Texas, where he was told that the seeds had originated from Mexico. This is a hyper productive variety, producing hundreds of dark red and tiny( ½ - ¾ inch) cherry tomatoes that are some of the sweetest around. This is one of our personal favorites. Do not plant out until 2 weeks after last frost. Tomato seeds require high soil temperatures for good germination rates. We highly recommend heat mats to ensure and speed up germination. Pot up to 3–4 inch pots when first true leaves develop (not cotyledon leaves). Harden off plants for 1-2 weeks in full sun before transplanting them outside (after last frost). Make sure to give tomato plants a lot of space for vigorous root and foliage growth.
