Description: I inherited quite a few postcards from my German grandparents who collected postcards during the first half of the 20th century (Please see my other listings). These 3 black and white postcards show 3 scenes from the town of Andernach which lies on the left bank of the Rhine river in the Eifel region of Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany. All three postcards are from 1912. The first card is a panoramic view ("Panorama"). The second card shows a fountain and the text reads "The fountain throws out 40000 liters of water in 7-8 minutes 50-60 meters high and comes from a depth of 350 meters. The third card shows a tower and the text reads "This 52 meters high round tower was built between 1448 and 1452 and is part of the former city fortifications. If you would like to buy several of my postcards, please contact me with an offer. From non smoking home.
