Late 1800’s Original 'Jumping Golfer' Water Color Painting by Major Shortspoon

Description: Artist 'Major' Shortspoon or 'F.J. Hopkins original watercolor composition titled 'Jumping Golfer' at St Andrews is presented here measuring 7.875 x 11.75". In the late 1800s, Hopkins painted this scene with a Golfer leaping off the ground at top of backswing. The town of St Andrews is sketched at lower left. The painting has some toning from age visible throughout. Color fading is also evident from age. Paper is whole and strong with just some light edge and corner wear.
