Description: This Antique H.M. King Edward VIII Coronation 1937 commemorative mug is a rare find and is in good condition. Made in Grindley, Surrey, England, this mug features an illustrated design and is an official release from the British Royal Family Memorabilia Collectible series. The mug was created for the crowning of Edward VIII of England, however, he was never crowned king because he decided to abdicate his throne to marry Wallace Simpson. This mug has one small porcelain white bump on the inside of the bottom of the cup, which may have occurred during the firing process. Otherwise, there are no chips, cracks, or crazing visible on the mug. There is some slight wear on the decorative gold braid that rings the top of the cup.
