Description: Here I have for sale a nice copy of George Eliot's Scenes of Clerical Life published by Everyman's Library in hardcover with pictorial dust jacket in 1976. The book is VG with mildly faded, clean blue board and bright gilt. Mild edge wear, tight binding and unmarked pages except for a prior owner's signature on front free endpaper. Significant sun-tanning/foxing to pages and endpapers with foxed page ends. The dust jacket is VG with bright colors. Painting on front panel by Constable. Mild edge wear with a few chips on corners and top of spine. A little scuffing on rear panel. It is not price-clipped and is protected in mylar. Just read this recently and enjoyed immensely.
