You see, the typical is universal in design with four adjustable mounting ears to attach the engine block to the stand’s rotating head. This allows an engine stand to work, theoretically, with any engine block, from an old truck inline six to that modern overhead cam engine you’re swapping into your hot rod. The issue is those four mounting ears don’t always line up the best with the engine’s bellhousing bolt pattern for a secure and safe mounting solution. Or it throws the engine off balance, making it hard to rotate on the stand. Lastly, we’re always wasting time trying to find the correct length engine stand bolts to secure the engine to the stand (because the factory bellhousing bolts are often too short). Our solution to this common problem is a billet CNC machined aluminum plate with the full Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth bellhousing pattern machined into it along with slotted mounting points to mate up to the typical four mounting ear slots on an engine stand. This saves the expense of buying a specific LA small block, B/RB big block, or Hemi engine stand by making the universal one you already own work for these applications, including the modern Gen III Hemi. We include 1.8-inch long tubular spacers to provide clearance for an installed flexplate or flywheel, and we include all necessary bellhousing bolts for the plate to attach to your Mopar’s engine as well as to mount the adapter to your stand, after removal of the stand’s mounting ears. Storage is provided right on the plate itself with threaded holes for your engine stand bolts, so you’ll never waste time looking for your Mopar engine stand bolts ever again. Your engine will be safer installed with our plate between your stand and engine block. No more flexing or bent engine stand ears, no more only using three of your stand’s mounting ears because you can’t get them all lined up to your block’s bolt holes, and no more of your engine being “top heavy” on the stand, making it almost impossible to turn over. Our Mopar engine stand mounting plate solves all these problems, making your engine stand safer to use and more secure. So, once you’ve determined for removal, our engine stand adapter will be ready to help you safely secure your Mopar engine to your engine stand. Application This Part Fits Mopar LA Engines The LA (Lightweight A) engines were a series of small block V8 engines introduced in 1964. These engines were widely used in a variety of Chrysler, Dodge, and Plymouth vehicles. They are known for their lightweight design and were produced in various displacements: 273 cu in (4.5 L) 318 cu in (5.2 L) 340 cu in (5.6 L) 360 cu in (5.9 L) Mopar B Engines The B engines are a series of big block V8 engines introduced in 1958. These engines were commonly found in high-performance cars and trucks. Known for their durability and power, they were produced in several displacements: 350 cu in (5.7 L) 361 cu in (5.9 L) 383 cu in (6.3 L) 400 cu in (6.6 L) Mopar RB Engines The RB (Raised Block) engines are an extension of the B engine series, introduced to allow for larger displacements. The 440 engine, in particular, became famous for its high performance. They were produced in the following displacements: 383 cu in (6.3 L) 413 cu in (6.8 L) 426 cu in (7.0 L) 440 cu in (7.2 L) Early and Late Hemi Engines The early Hemi engines are perhaps the most iconic of Chrysler's engines, known for their hemispherical combustion chambers that improve airflow and combustion efficiency. Today's Gen III Hemi has become a popular swap option and both early and late Hemi engines are supported with this plate.
