Description: This is a beautiful and very rare H.J. Wood earthenware hand painted No.1001 teapot dating from 1885 to 1920. Please note that it has part of the end of the spout broken/missing, and also part of the lid is broken/missing. The pictures show the condition, so please check them out. H.J. Wood's Alexandra Pottery in Burslem, England used this Stafford knot logo from 1885 to 1920. The deep brown glaze is amazing, and when observed closely it appears to have a tiger-eye type effect. Please check out the pictures for detail. Thanks for looking!
