Description: Antique Copper Green Verdigris 3D Horse and Sulky Weathervane with Directionals and Rooftop Mounting Bracket. Most likely from the late 19th century to the early 20th century. This weathervane has developed a beautiful green verdigris patina. The rooftop mounting bracket can be adjusted to fit any roof pitch. The majority of the weathervane is made of copper, including the directionals, with only a few brass accents. The mounting bracket appears to be made of iron with a black enamel over it. It is in overall excellent condition with a lot of character that only develops over the course of time. A very classic early American weathervane which would make a great addition to any home. These are highly sought, and it is rare to find one complete. 34"W x 18"D x 48"H A small weld was made to the driver's hand and the horse's ear to secure loose parts. Both were done by a copper professional.
