Description: There are a few imperfections here and there (see pics), but overall it's in great condition. This enameled ceramic tile plaque is handmade and signed in the lower corner with the initials AT. It consists of ten tiles and is surrounded by a simple 1/2" wood frame. The frame has a hanging wire on the back. The plaque measures, without the frame, 15.5" x 19.5". Angelos Tsakirakis (1934-2006) was a Greek artist, ceramicist and painter. He studied in Doxiadis School and was an artist for over forty years. His work features themes from Greek tradition and culture. I see quite a bit of his artwork for sale online, but most pieces I see are only 1-4 tiles. This one with 10 tiles is the largest I've seen.
