Description: Indigenous fisherman Inuit This is a miniature Hand carved jade Inuit Eskimo seal hunter ice fishing study. It is good jade is color and clarity And has translucence. The indigenous Eskimo stands his ground as he pulls his catch from the ice. He holds a woven cord line which has hooked his prey. He stands on a base of sliced nephrite showing the crystal structure. It does have writing on the underside of the base which appears to be intentional. See photo.
