The ad beautifully illustrates men and women silhouettes engaged in various recreational activities including golf, tennis, horseback riding, couples dancing, and hunting. This antique, early 1900's ad has the caption, "PINEHURST North Carolina (founded by James W. Tufts) The Leading Hotel and Recreation Resort of the South" The ad features seven main features of the hotel including the location, four hotels & fifty two cottages with prices of $2.50 per day upwards, golf links, livery of horses, game preserve, sanitary conditions, and only resort in the country from which consumptives are absolutely excluded.
