Description: This sale is for a PAIR (2) crossover networks. These are high-quality, 3-way passive crossover networks with a crossover frequencies of 1000 Hz and 7000 Hz. They are designed for 8 ohm tweeters, 4 ohm mid-ranges, and for an 8 ohm woofers. They are suitable for use up to 200 watts of audio program. Using woofers would typically include 6, 8, 10 or 12 inch woofers; and 3, 4 or 5 inch mid-range units and 1 inch dome tweeters. There is a second order network on the tweeter output ... 12 / dB octave. This provides a higher level of protection for the tweeters. Mid-range and woofer networks are first order networks ... 6 dB / octave. There are 5 watt level controls on the tweeter and mid-range. These units were designed for small tower speaker systems which had two woofers, two mid-ranges and a tweeter. The design is rather unique, so we are selling these surplus items for basically the parts cost. They are ideal for the DIY builder, and would be easy to augment or alter the network design. The crossover is built on a the back of a 5 1/2" diameter terminal cup. This cup requires a 4" hole in the back panel of the loudspeaker enclosure. It has red and black push terminals for connection to speaker wiring, and a circuit breaker is provided on the system for overload protection. Internal leads to loudspeakers are approximately 18 to 24 inches in length. Domestic US shipments are by USPS Ground Advantage or by USPS small flat-rate Priority Mail Box, which can hold two units.
