These postcards are ANTIQUE from the early 1900s. The postcards are colorful and attractive, and are photos. The photographer is L. S. Langfier. The ladies are pictured as in portraits. Some of their color could have been added on. The postcards are all part of a set with the publisher TUCK & SONS, and they are an Oilette set called "Beauty's Reign" with a Series # 9023. These are unique and rare postcards, especially in this good condition. They are UNPOSTED and published in the 1908 era. The backs are divided backs. Overall, a very nice selection of antique rare Lovely Ladies postcards! These are collector items because of their age, Tuck & Sons as publisher, condition and desirability. These postcards were published by Raphael Tuck & Sons, who is an important and valued publisher. They published from 1866 through the mid 1960s in England. They first started with publishing Christmas cards printed in their native Prussia, Germany. They are noted for high quality postcards and ephemera that have a huge appeal to collectors. Tuck’s “Oilette” Series was the first VIEWS postcards published in 1903 and came in sets. These became their most popular cards, and a “standard” model for other publishers. The firm was so well respected that they had the honor of being appointed in 1894 by Queen Victoria as the "Art Publishers to their Majesties the King & Queen of the United Kingdom.” These are BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains and edge wear due to their age. The photos show the postcards and the backs. The postcards are shipped in a sturdy envelope. We only ship within the USA; we do not ship internationally.
