It is so beautifully constructed that it is possible that it is a couture piece. The inner ivory silk lining has totally shattered and there is not much left of it. The outer black silk in good condition but does need some of the over pleating tacked back into place. The neck lace in the back has lost its original ivory silk lining. See photos. The bust is 36, the waist is 30, the hips are 40 inches. The shoulder is 13.5 inches across and the sleeve length is 27.5 inches. From the back collar to the back hem, it is 45 inches in length. If you do the repairs to the lining and repair the loose pleating this would be wearable. The lace is in good condition. It is a stunning high fashion piece of history.
