Description: 1940s White Puffy Heart Hand Painted Pocket Charmeuse Dressing Gown- M Darling, 1940s white rayon satin charmeuse dressing gown with the most wonderful, hand painted, puffy heart pocket. When I purchased this it had a shocking pink chiffon handkerchief inside, which I believe was original. If not, it was at one point sewn into the pocket. It is now detached, so you can where with or without! Has shoulder pads which offer a great angular silhouette. Thick, built in ties, with an internal tie, as well. Snap can be moved up to 3.5” to open up the waist. Has some minor marks. I did spot treat and soak this and they diminished substantially but some are still there. Including some faint marks throughout the dress, one tiny one above the pocket. One on the sash, and a faint watermark on the back of the neck. This watermark seams to come down the front but it is so faint the camera barely picks it up. There is also and ultra faint watermark on the cuff. There is also a permanent indentation on the left shoulder. This is visible in worn photos and all flaws have been showcased in product photos. Overall, still an excellent and rare vintage item!
