Description: This is a vintage original typed letter signed by Sally Rand, pioneering and influential American burlesque dancer and sex symbol. This letter is written to a Stanton Becker of West Roxbury, Massachusetts and is dated September 17, 1938. Rand mentions she didn’t receive a telegram from Becker intime to do anything about recent performance with the letter signed “Sally Rand”. This is the letter only without the envelope. The letter has a bit of damage along the right edge not affecting the text or Rand’s autograph and shows some toning from age and moderate handling wear. Overaall condition is otherwise very good. Rand had a career that spanned more than forty years appearing on stage, screen and in television. Born Helen Gould Beck, her stage name Sally Rand was given to her by Cecil B. DeMille.
