Well struck with way fewer marks than normally encountered in this grade or even the next up. The '38D has the third lowest mintage in the series, at 491,600, behind only the venerable 1921 P and D. Fortunately, enough were saved that availability is good, albeit a bit pricey. This one is nicer than often seen.
