Original photographs fill 40 pages, including 3 of the Brookfield Zoo and two pages of family photographs added by the original album owners. 105 fair photos. Photo album measures 7 1/4 x 11 1/4 x 1 inches. A unique souvenir, filled with the story of the fair as well as the visit by the two "sweethearts." Acquired from the estate of Francis Hollander Block, New Orleans. Includes the original box, with a label noting the J.L Co. Chicago, Ideal Photo Album 9506. (Note: among the photos in the back of the album is one marked "DB." This may likely refer to a daughter, Dorothy Elaine Block, 1916-1967/1988). Illustrated pages include 8, 15 and 35.
